Lt. Governor PHYLLIS M. SAUNDERS May 25, 1942 – Oct. 9, 2001 A leader to remember so different from all the rest. She was a woman of honor always giving her very best. She was someone to admire for the things she did each day, the way she led our community in such a loving and caring way. She always believed in each of us to keep our community strong, encouraged us to stand together even when things went wrong. She took right care of our community with such style and grace. A woman we will forever honor, a woman we could never replace. Forever remembered, Governor, Lt. Governor, Council, and Your Loving Community.
