OSSINEKE, Mich. – Priscilla Cleaves, 86, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at her home surrounded by her family. Priscilla was born Jan. 11, 1920, in Dover-Foxcroft, to the late Fred E. and Florence V. (Pierce) Law. She married Arthur T. Cleaves Nov. 6, 1938, in Dover-Foxcroft. He preceded her in death in February 1979. She was employed as a licensed practical nurse for 10 years at Moline Public Hospital in Moline, Ill., retiring in 1980 and moved to Ossineke, Mich. in 1981. Priscilla was an avid quilter, gardener and enthusiastic world traveler. Priscilla is survived by her four children, Belinda Aguirre of Alpena, Mich., Melissa (Mrs. Michael) Stentoumis of Ossineke, Mich., Dennis and wife, Mary Lin Cleaves, of Wellington, Colo. and Olivia Brunetti also of Ossineke, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Stephen and wife, Elaine Law, of Dover-Foxcroft; and one sister, Annette Page of New Bern, N. C. Priscilla was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Hamilton, JoAnn Cole and Cynthia Burgess. Per her wishes, Priscilla has been taken from the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for cremation and a private family memorial service will be held later in February.
