SPRINGFIELD – Ralph Eugene Clark Sr., 68, husband of Mary (Schultz) Clark, passed away Nov. 26, 2007, at his home. He was born Feb. 3, 1939, in Prentiss, the son of Charles and Julia (Westgate) Clark. Ralph grew up in Carroll, and at the age of 15, he hitchhiked to Connecticut, where he worked for 50 years. He was the owner of R & R Automotive, Bolton, Conn., for many years, and also was a bus driver for Dattco Bus Line, serving Mohegan Sun, before he retired. While in Connecticut, Ralph was a member of Motorcycle Enduro Club, Bolton Lions Club and Second Congregational No. 3 Church Bowling League. He moved his family back to Maine in 2005 to retire. Ralph enjoyed being back close to the ones he loved. Working in the woods on his bulldozer and spending time with family were just some of his enjoyments. In addition to his wife, Mary E. Clark of Springfield, he is survived by two sons, Ralph E. Clark Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Carroll, and David P. Clark and his fianc?e, Julie Benson and grandchild to be in June, of Vernon, Conn.; two daughters, Laura L. Clark and her companion, Tim Hogan, of Hebron, Conn., and Krystal L. Schultz of Springfield; two granddaughters, Heather Whitney, and Holly and her husband, Travis Worster, all of Kingman; two great-granddaughters, Deanna and Kaylee Glidden of Kingman; aunt and uncle, Marguerite and Alva Westgate of Lincoln; two brothers, Mayland Clark and his fianc?e, Barbara, of East Hartford, Conn., and Larry Clark of Florida; two sisters, Jean and her husband, Chet Barker, of Warwick, R.I., and Delann and her husband, Lee Zanks, of Ellington, Conn.; three sisters-in-law, Maria Clark and Edel Clark, both of Massachusetts, and Violet Clark of British Columbia; many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Bertha Clark; and three brothers, Calvin, Richard and Lyndon. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Swan officiating.
