BREWER – Ralph “Stan” Severance, 70, died unexpectedly Oct. 15, 2006, with his family by his side, at a Boston hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Bangor the son of Ralph H. and Margurite A. (White) Severance. Stan served in the U.S. Marines from 1957 to 1962, when he was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. He worked for Webber Supply for 45 years. Surviving are his wife, Carole of Brewer; five children, Stephen of Holden, Jeffrey and his wife, Linda, of Bangor, Glenn and his wife, Kimberly, Stan and his wife, Terri, all of Brewer and Troy and his wife, Penny, of Newburgh; four stepchildren, Wendy and her husband, Barry Martin, of Orrington, Terri and her husband, Troy Greenleaf, of Old Town, Toby and his wife, Mandy Day, of Milford and Michael Day of Bradley; nine grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Rebecca Robinson of Exeter and Maureen Hawkins of North Carolina; nieces, nephews and cousins. Stan was predeceased by a daughter, Wendy; and a granddaughter, Jessica Lazore. Graveside services with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to meet 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Superintendents Lodge, State Street entrance.
