RUSH, Ky. – Ray Linwood Parker, 71, passed away unexpectedly May 15, 2007, after a brief illness. He was born April 19, 1936, in Ashland, son of Madaline (Skinner) Parker Ellis and Purlin J. Parker. Ray attended Mapleton schools. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of Masons and the National Rifle Association. His hobbies were coon hunting and bass fishing. He was predeceased by his first wife, Nancy Parker; and a son, Ray Parker Jr. He is survived by his wife, Ella Faye Parker; three daughters, Ginny Parker and Joni Mullins of Rush, Ky., and Christie Cowett and her husband, Dave, of Wilton; two brothers, Lee Parker and wife, Kay, of Masardis, and Don Parker and wife, Margaret, of Clinton; three sisters, Emily “Ann” Ketch and her husband, Clyde, of Windham, Donna Beaulier and her husband, Myrton, of Corinth, and Lois St. Peter of Stillwater; five grand-children, seven great-grand-children, two aunts, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, in Rush, Ky. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
