WALLAGRASS and SOLDIER POND – Ray “Muff” Pelletier, 66, died peacefully Nov. 8, 2007, surrounded by his family at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born March 8, 1941, in Wallagrass, the son of Rene and Veronique (Devoe) Pelletier. Ray worked for Pinkham Lumber Inc., as a truck driver for more than 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 176, Eagle Lake and also a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree Post No. 1934, Fort Kent. Ray loved animals and this time of year, he was liked staying busy by feeding birds around the house. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Juliette (Landry) Pelletier of Wallagrass; his four children, Lisa Fournier of Fort Kent, Wayne Pelletier and his companion, Michelle Raymond, both of Eagle Lake, Scott and his wife, Donna Pelletier, of Eagle Lake and Vickie and her husband, Rick Saucier, of Wallagrass; four grandchildren, Jessica Fournier of Bangor, Brooke and Shana Saucier of Wallagrass and Samantha Pelletier of Eagle Lake; one sister, Millie Ouellette of Pepperrioll, Mass.; two brothers, Hampy and Richard Pelletier of Eagle Lake; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two infant sisters, Mary and Telma; a brother, Ralph Pelletier; and a sister, Irene Lamarre. Friends may call 9 a.m. until time of departure for Soldier Pond Monday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Soldier Pond. Burial will be held at a later date at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Wallagrass. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in his memory to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund/ Northern Maine Medical Center, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
