PETER DANA POINT – Raymond Edward Tomah, 89, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at a Calais hospital. Mr. Tomah was born July 20, 1914, in Peter Dana Point, the son of Edmund and Mary (Nicholas) Tomah. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army throughout Europe. Mr. Tomah was employed as a log driver and enjoyed hunting. He was predeceased by a son, Edmund Tomah; a daughter, Martina Stevens; and two sisters, Lillian Stevens and Blanch Cote. Surviving are his two sons, Stuart Tomah of Princeton, and Robert Tomah of Tobique, New Brunswick; a daughter, Geraldine Tomah of Tobique, New Brunswick; two stepchildren, Alexander Paul and Mary Joyce Sappier; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a special niece, Caroline Sappier; and a special nephew, Dennis Tomah Sr. Friends may call all day Tuesday at his home at Peter Dana Point. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Peter Dana Point by the Rev. Frank Morin. Burial will take place at a later date.
