PLEASANT POINT – In loving memory of Raymond J. Moore Sr., 71, who passed from this life Tuesday, June 23, 2008. He was born Sept. 11, 1937, in Pleasant Point, the son of Frederick and Mary (Neptune) Moore. To all his friends he was known as the old man, but to us he was Dad. In the circle of his life he touched us all in a special way. Many life lessons have been learned and they made our family a strong one. In honor of our father and friend we will hold many memories close to our heart. We will cherish and hold dear what he taught us, we will live our lives stronger, the way he would have wanted us to. He is survived by his children, Gary Moore, Raymond Moore Jr., Ann Diffin, Mildred Mitchell, Keith Moore, Fleicia Moore and Michael Clowes; two brothers, Fred and James Moore; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; also, a special woman who touched his heart for life, Maria Moore, our mother. Friends may call starting 1 p.m. Wednesday until 9 a.m. Friday at the home of Mildred Mitchell, 4 Wekoso Road, Pleasant Point. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Pleasant Point with Father Eugene Gaffey officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
