RAYMOND L. BROOKS HAINES CITY, Fla. – Raymond L. Brooks, 74, died Sept. 23, 2005, at his home in Haines City, Fla. He was born Dec. 29, 1929, in Old Town. Raymond was the son of Loren and Martha (Daisy) Harriman Brooks. He served 21+ years in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He also was a retired U.S. postal employee. He is survived by his loving companion, Donnabelle Hayes; two sons, Raymond Jr. and Larry Brooks and wife, Kaleigh; and three grandchildren, Celeste, Emmaleigh and Loren; one sister, Martha Celestia Young and husband, Norman; and a brother, James Brooks and wife, Gail. He was predeceased by a son, Steven. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Sept. 27, at Oak Ridge Funeral Home in Haines City, Fla. Internment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
