SWANVILLE – Raymond Warren Brown, 58, of Swanville passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at a local health care facility. He was born Jan. 6, 1947, in Prospect the son of Elden and Arlene (Lyford) Brown. He worked as a carpenter and woodsman and also for Maplewood Poultry. Raymond enjoyed restoring old cars and especially loved his Camero. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Gerald, Roger, and Bucky Brown; and his sister, Norma Elwell; a nephew, Elden Doughty; and niece, Norma (Runci) Damon. Raymond is survived by his wife, Glenda Brown of Swanville; five children, Sheryl Warman, Norma Philbrook, Mark Graham, Wendy Reynolds, and Glen Brown; brothers, Paul and Alden Brown; sisters, Marion Hood, and Marilyn Bridges; 10 grandchildren, Alisha, Jake, Jonathan, Justin, Derek, Ryan, Jessie, Michelle, Michael, and Paul; three sons-in-law, Marty Ashworth, Scott Philbrook, and Larry Moulton; and a special friend, Wayne Fitzgerald; brothers-in-law, Sonny Sullivan, Frank Brown, Tony Runci, John Runci, Jason Emery, Steve Moulton, and Ed Philbrook. A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast, where a funeral will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Ken Davenport officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Swanville. Those wishing to make memorial donations may send them to the funeral home.
