SEDGWICK – Rebecca Torrey, 82, died March 1, 2005, at her residence. She was born March 15, 1922, in Bernard, the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Norwood) Davis. She operated the “Most Anything Shop” in Sedgwick for more than 20 years. She especially loved yard sales, her grandchildren, and kids at her shop. She was a member of the North Sedgwick Grange for many years. She is survived by her sons, Sam and his wife, Sherry; Harry and his wife, Phoebe, both of Sedgwick; a daughter, Joyce Gilley and special friend, Richard Gross, of Sedgwick; sisters, Linnie and Beatrice of Bangor, Alice of Florida; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil F. of 51 years; a son, Cecil R.; and daughter, Alice. Calling hours will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005, at Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill, where funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev. George Springer officiating. Interment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Sedgwick in the spring.
