EAGLE LAKE – Reginald Paradis, 77, died Dec. 5, 2003, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. He was born Jan. 5, 1926, in Fort Kent, the son of Edmond and Angelina (Corbin) Paradis. He was a World War II veteran and served overseas in the Ardennes, received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, World War II Victory European African, Eastern Campaign, Combat Infantry Badge and two Service Star Medals. He was a life member of D.A.V., American Legion Post 176 Eagle Lake and VFW member. He is survived by his wife, Wanita (Pelletier) Paradis of Eagle Lake; four daughters, Linda Craig and her husband, Guy Cote, of Mt. Chase, Stella Lane and her husband, Ralph, of Sherman Mills, Marie Furrow and her husband, Jerome, of Woodstook, New Brunswick, Canada, Rose Paradis and Frank Betschner of Smyrna; one son, Kenneth Paradis and his wife, Sheila, of Crystal; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren whom he loved and enjoyed very much; one brother, Sylvio Paradis of Kenduskeag. He was predeceased by another son, Reginald Paradis Jr. Friends may call 11:30 a.m. until departure for Eagle Lake Tuesday at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with full military honors 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Bill Labbe officiating.
