MERIDEN, Conn. – Remi Nelson Michaud, 82, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2006, in Meriden, Conn., formerly of Roseville and Loomis, Calif. He was born May 20, 1923, in Eagle Lake, a son of the late Docite and Modeste (Dechine) Michaud. He was self-employed as a truck driver and owned a restaurant and two gas stations in California where he lived most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. Father of Linda Marshall of Sharon, Conn., Nancy Beaulieu of Sturbridge, Mass., William Michaud of Charlton, Mass. and Francis Michaud of Massachusetts; brother of Theresa Luce and her husband, Robert, of Meriden, Conn., Lester Michaud of Brandon, Fla., Donald Michaud of Wallingford, Conn., Myrtle Schirland of Old Town, Madeline Belcher of Bangor, Beatrice Tibbot of Brewer, and the late Levi, Lucian and Docite Michaud. Also survived by 12 grandchildren. Graveside service 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, at St. Laurent Cemetery, Meriden, Conn. with military honors.
