BANGOR – Rena L. Knowles, 91, wife of the late Charles “Chuck” Knowles, died Aug. 29, 2004, at a local healthcare facility. She was born April 24, 1913, in Bangor, the daughter of Blaine and Bernice (Garland) MacLean. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Randall C. Chretien, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Bangor, officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
