AIKEN, S.C. – The Rev. Frank Dale Bertrand, 74, beloved husband of Diane Wickett Bertrand, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bertrand was born in Old Town, to the late Frank Joseph and Ruth Preble Bertrand. He had lived in Aiken, S.C., for 35 years and retired from E. I. DuPont, SRP. He was a volunteer chaplain for Aiken County Youth Corrections Department, Walton Rehabilitation Hospital and the Royal Rangers Ministries of South Aiken Church of God. He was also a licensed clergy with Assemblies of God Survivors include his wife, Diane Wickett Bertrand; and his three daughters, Deborah and Joe Camp of Spartenburg, S.C., Denise and Robert Johnston of St. Mary’s, Ga., and Danielle and Mike Hoftstatter of North Augusta, S.C.; four grandchildren, Jonathan Camp, Scott Camp, Karli Hoffstatter and Austin Johnston; three great-grandchildren, Cassandra Camp, Emily Camp, and Makenzie Camp; and two sisters, Sharon Bertrand Carroll of Old Town and Cora Bertrand LeVasseur of Old Town. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Road, Aiken, S.C. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at South Aiken Church of God, Aiken, S.C., with the Rev. Bruce Fox, the Rev. Dr. William R. Johnston, the Rev. William Moss and the Rev. Joe Camp officiating. Interment will be held after at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Robert Johnston, Mike Hoffstatter, Joe Camp, Scott Camp, Chris Hickman and Roger Rollins.
