MARS HILL and PALM BAY, Fla. – The Rev. Richard O. Greene, founder and long time pastor of the Old Fashion Revival Center of Blaine, passed away May 29, 2008, in Palm Bay Fla. He was born Feb. 18, 1924, in Mars Hill, the son of Coleman and Nora (DeMerchant) Greene. He attended schools in Mars Hill and joined the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Palm Bay, Fla.; three children and their spouses, Richard D. and his wife, Pat, of Murpheesboro, Tenn., Rhonda Boyles and her husband, Vernon, of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Lavenia “Veenie” Bouchard and her husband, Michael, of Westfield; one brother, Coleman of Providence, R.I.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Please join his children as they celebrate in a memorial service and dinner 3 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the Old Fash-ion Revival Center, 13 Kinney Road, Blaine.
