BANGOR and BOCA RATON, Fla. – Rhoda Matson, 74, died March 31, 2005, at a Boca Raton, Fla. hospital. She was born June 15, 1930, in Bangor the daughter of Edward and Mollie (Rich) Kaprow. After a career in teaching at the collegiate level in Lennoxville, Quebec, she and her husband retired to Boca Raton, Fla. in 1996. She is survived by her son, Kevin Matson and his wife, Pam, of Coventry, R.I.; four grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Erik, Victoria; her sister, Irene Shiro of Boca Raton, Fla. and Rockport; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held noon Monday, April 4, at Beth Israel Cemetery, Bangor with Rabbi David Cantor, officiating. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
