STUART, Fla. and CYR PLANTATION – Rhonda Ouellette, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 23, in Stuart, Fla. She was born in Caribou, May 30, 1957, the daughter of Norman D. and Rachel (Cyr) Ouellette. After graduating from Van Buren District High School in 1974, Rhonda attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She began her career as a nutrition and health instructor with Nutri-System in Portland, and continued her career with the company in Peoria, Ill., Louisville, Ky., Columbia, S.C. and Fort Pierce, Fla. Growing up in Van Buren, Rhonda enjoyed the outdoors. She loved Long Lake, and going fishing, skiing and snowmobiling with friends and family. She continued to enjoy her love for the outdoors in Florida, spending much time fishing and camping on Lake Okeechobee.Rhonda will be sadly missed by her mother, Rachel of Greenacres, Fla.; her brother, Wayne Ouellette and wife, Pamela, of Palm City, Fla.; two sisters, Beverly Doucette and husband, George, of South Portland, Myra Sears and husband, Kenneth, of Baileyville; nephews, Ryan and Devin Ouellette, Corey Doucette and Ben Sears; nieces, Casey Doucette and Gina Sears. She was predeceased by her father, Norman, in August 2003. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 8:30 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, Sept. 4, at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the St. Bruno Catholic Church. Interment will be in the family lot at the Grande Riviere Cemetery.
