MARS HILL – Rhonello F. Shaw, 65, husband of the late Linda (Gamblin) Shaw, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, June 3, 2007, while at a Mars Hill health care facility. Rhonello was born March 30, 1942, in Mars Hill, the son of Henry and Amy (Hallett) Shaw. He grew up in the Mars Hill area and graduated from Aroostook Central Institute in 1960. In 1968 he married Linda and together they had two children, Melody and Tyler. Rhonello was very special to the people of Mars Hill and was admired for the courage he showed during his physical trials in recent years. He was a master Mason and Shriner for many years, belonging to many different lodges; Council No. 16 of Presque Isle, member and master of Aroostook Lodge No. 197 in 1989 and 2000, Rainbow dad in Mars Hill and Presque Isle, Garfield Chapter No. 140, Caribou; St. Aldemars Commandery, Houlton; St. Consistory, Bangor and Portland; Anah Temple Shrine, Order Of Eastern Star Friendship Chapter No. 140, Mars Hill; Order of Eastern St. Lunar Chapter, Presque Isle; past president of Aroostook Shrine Club. Rhonello was a past Rotarian and a faithful attendee of East Ridge Union Church. He is survived by his daughter, Melody and her husband, Matthew Hartt, of Old Town; a son, Tyler and his wife, Dawn, of Mars Hill; four grandchildren, Matthew Tyler Hartt, Bree Elisha Hartt, Deakon Shaw and Asia Bard; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Shaw of Mars Hill and Alma Shaw of Columbus, Miss., several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by special friends, Max Miller and Larry Weeks. In addition to his parents and wife, Rhonello was predeceased by a sister, Vella Dawn Lunn; five brothers, Wendell, Robert, Lloyd, Phillip and Alfred Shaw. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at Dun-can Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill, where Masonic memorial services will be held 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday at Central Aroostook High School with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Interment will be held after at Marshall Cem-etery, Westfield. After the com-mittal there will be a time of refreshments at the Aroostook Shrine Club, Route 1, Presque Isle.
