NORTHPORT – Richard A. Jones, 54, died unexpectedly Jan. 21, 2008, at his residence. He was born May 28, 1953, in Belfast, the son of Donald and Leola (Knox) Jones. Richard was a career U.S. Air Force veteran. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends at the Northport Golf Course. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and he also enjoyed all sports. Richard is predeceased by his parents; and brother, Jeff Bagley. He is survived by his daughter, Christie Jones of Rhode Island and her mother, Liz Hutchins, of Canaan; his daughter, Jennifer Jones and her mother, Lisa Jones, both of Connecticut; his brother, Larry Jones; his sister, Linda Whitson, both of Belfast; his uncle and aunt, Harold and Connie Jones of Belfast; special friends, Bruce, Corey, Stephanie, David and many others; and his cat, “Ouie.” Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Interment will be held at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery.
