MARIETTA, Ga. – Richard Donald Price died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005. Mr. Price was born Sept. 16, 1930, in Fulton County. He was the son of the late Richard Shannon Price and Clara Sue Burke Price. Mr. Price retired from Robinson-Humphrey Company after 27 years of service. He also was with Sinclair Oil for 18 years. He was a 1949 graduate of Brown High School, Draughns School of Commerce and Georgia State. He was in the U.S. Air Force from 1949-1952. He was a Methodist. Mr. Price was a member of Purchasing Managers Association of Georgia, The Sinclair Club and Stockbridge Business Association. Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Barbara Townes Price of Marietta, Ga.; children, Robert and Pamela Townes of Kennesaw, Ga., Tavia and Scott Placella of Bangor, Sheree and Scott Cain of Stockbridge and Michael Price of Morrow; grandchildren, Ashley Marie Townes, Brayden Placella, Michael Price, Richard Price, Kelly Daniels and Orie Cain; great-granddaughter, Fallon. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Forsyth City Cemetery with Lt. Col. (Retired) Hoyt Holland and the Rev. Ken Stephens officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 930850, Atlanta, GA 31193-0850. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
