LINNEUS – Richard E. Fredericks, 72, died June 7, 2007, at his residence. He was born Oct. 14, 1934, in Cary, the son of Thomas and Emma (Edwards) Fredericks. Richard served in the National Guard for many years. He proudly worked as a woodsman his whole life, until becoming ill recently. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed gardening and nature. He is survived by his life partner, Phyllis Tidd; two sons, Rick and his wife, Amy, of Linneus and Brad and his wife, Sherri, of Brunswick; two daughters, Amy and her husband, Michael, of Brewer and Shelly and her husband, Brian, of Hampton Beach, N.H.; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Helen of Cary. Also very close to his heart are Denise Chaloux and her husband, Gib, of Hodgdon and Dennis Tidd and his wife, Barbara, of Houlton. He was predeceased by two brothers, two sisters and one grandson, his special angel. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Linneus Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Murray officiating. The family would like to give special thanks to hospice.
