LINCOLN and CORINTH Richard E. Stevens, 68, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, at a North Berwick health care facility. He was born Aug. 8, 1938, in Lincoln, a son of Harold and Beryl (Leathers) Stevens. Richard was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy, Lincoln, and worked as a millwright for more than 30 years at Lincoln Pulp & Paper. He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed hunting, and he went out on Center Pond every night after supper to go fishing. Richard is survived by his children, Diane Jones of Wells, Mike Jones and Ann Marie of Hudson and Elaine Healey and fiance, Michael Michaud, of Wells; four grandchildren, Steven Jones and Ruth of Virginia, Adam Jones and Holly of New Jersey, Cassidy Healey and Matthew Healey, both of Wells; and a special friend, Jim Trask of Lincoln. He was predeceased by his wife, Judith (Crocker) Stevens; a daughter, Brenda Stevens; and four siblings, Howard Stevens, Faye Miller, Harland Stevens and Roger Stevens. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday, March 13, at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Welch officiating.
