TOBIQUE FIRST NATION, Canada and INDIAN ISLAND – Terrence J. Lolar, 58, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, died March 7, 2007, at the Hotel Dieu Hospital. He was born April 15, 1948, in Old Town, the son of Henry and Bernice (Nelson) Lolar. Terry graduated in 1967 from Old Town High School. After graduation, Terry enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He served in the Army National Guard until August 2002. He was honorably discharged and transferred to the U.S. Army retired reserve. Terry is survived by his wife, Mary Laurena Saulis of Tobique First Nation; daughter, Mary Kelly Saulis; son, James and wife, Sarah Lolar; granddaughter, Rowyn; grandson, Avery; stepdaughters, Veronica and husband, Marc Michaud, and Daisy and husband, Ronald Bear; two stepsons, Daniel and wife, Randi Saulis, and Adam Saulis and fiancee, Sara Bear; 13 stepgrandchildren; two brothers, Owen and wife, Jo Ann Lolar, and Dale Lolar; many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Patty; brother, Jackie; and two nieces, Susan and Marie. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Monday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Indian Island. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Monday, March 12, at St. Ann’s, Indian Island. Spring interment will take place in New Brunswick.
