ST. DAVID – Richard G. Martin, 73, died Dec. 11, 2004, at his residence in St. David. He was born July 23, 1931, in Hamlin, the son of Gilbert and Rose (Ouellette) Martin. He was a U.S. Korean War veteran and a member of the Thomas O. Cyr Legion Post No. 147 of Madawaska He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Martin) Martin of St. David; two sons, Richard Martin Jr. of Madawaska, Wayne Martin of Waterville; five daughters, Norma Morin and her husband, Maurice, of Madawaska, Patricia Martin of Madawaska, Judith Bowers and her husband, Ricky, of Lynchburg, Va., Carol Martin and her companion, Keith Loftis, of Jonesport, Louise Paradis and her husband, Roland, of St. Agatha; four brothers, Armand Martin of Madawaska, Fernand Martin of Grand Isle, Gerard Martin of Southington, Conn., Norman Martin of St. David; two sisters, Fernande Dube of Madawaska, Claire Pelletier of Kensington, Conn.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, one daughter, Viola; and one son, Steven; and by two sisters, Carmen Ouellette and Therese Cyr. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Agatha Church. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday. Interment will be in the St. Agatha Cemetery in the spring.
