LINCOLN – Richard H. Mahar, 89, died Feb. 13, 2005, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1915, in Topsfield, the son of Otis and Louise (Spencer) Mahar. Richard retired from L.P. & P in 1981, then worked for Clay GMC until the time of his death. He loved his camp on the Little Narrows. Richard was an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived a son, Dennis Mahar and his wife, Sonya; a daughter, Janie Mahar; a granddaughter, Jamie Mahar and her fianc?, David Chessie; a grandson, Joel Mahar and his girlfriend, Jessica Dunn and their children, Ashlee and Kailee; four stepgrandchildren, Russell, Thomas, Craig and Corey Knights; and one sister, Dorothy Webster. He was predeceased by his wife, Estella Mahar; a sister, Lula Mae Mahar; and a stepgrandson, Timothy Knights. He will be missed by his second family at Clay GMC in Lincoln Center. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Graveside services will be held in the spring.
