FAIRFIELD CENTER – Richard J. Parent, 59, died March 28, 2005. He was born Feb. 23, 1946, in Limestone, the son of Alfred and Emma (St. Pierre) Parent. Richard attended schools in Limestone and graduated from Hartland Academy. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was employed as a Union Carpenter and Millwright in various locations throughout his working career. Richard’s passion was woodworking. He made many projects for family members and also for sale. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and anything outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by seven brothers and four sisters. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Pearl (Belmain) Parent; his daughter, Michelle Parent and her companion, Brian Logan, of Oakland; a brother, Alfred Parent of Rockford, Ill.; three sisters, Bea Butler of Limestone, Christine Lewis of Hartland, and Diane Pistel of Windsor, Conn.; two grandchildren, Ryan and Mackenzie Logan of Oakland; many nieces and nephews.
