STOCKHOLM – Richard Joseph Bechard Sr., 72, died Aug. 13, 2008, in Stockholm. He was born April 23, 1936, in Stockholm, the son of Wilfred and Alice (Prevost) Bechard. He was educated in the Stockholm school system and served with the U.S. Army. Richard was employed in the construction industry and worked in varies factories for 40 years. He was married to Ann Morin for 14 years. He is survived by two sons, Richard J. Bechard Jr. and his wife, Amie, of Caribou and Bruce A. Bechard and his wife, Carla, of Presque Isle; one bro-ther, Gilbert Bechard of Florida; two sisters, Lucille Rossignol and Gloria Pelletier, both of Stockholm; three grandchildren, Megan Bechard, Bruce Bechard Jr. and Amanda Bechard; and one great-grandson, Miles Rogerson. He was predeceased by a son, Jason Bechard. Friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of service Friday, Aug. 15, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with services held 1 p.m. from the chapel of the funeral home, with Pastor Darrin Bonville officiating.
