CARIBOU – Richard T. Nelson, 59, died Aug. 22, 2004, at Caribou. He was born at Caribou, Nov. 29, 1944, the son of Theodore and Mabel (Akerson) Nelson. He was educated in the Woodland school system and was employed at the Holyoak Card Company for a number of years and was also employed by the Salvation Army in Springfield, Mass. for several years. He is survived by one brother, Wesley Nelson of Milbridge; three sisters, Phyllis Hanson and her husband, William, of Yerington, Nev., Audrey Pavlik of Washburn and Sylvia Wardwell and her husband, Rodney, of Perham; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 12 noon until time of services Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with the Rev. James Morgan, officiating. Interment will take place in the New Sweden Cemetery.
