DENNYSVILLE – Richard E. Seavey died Dec. 7, 2003, at his residence in Dennysville. Born in Calais, July 2, 1952, the son of Earle and Mary (Stewart) Seavey. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, trapping, and his boat he used for lobstering. Richard also enjoyed his hunting camp in Marion. He was employed for 30 years by Georgia-Pacific Corp. and Domtar Industries Inc. of Baileyville. Surviving are his parents, Earle and Mary (Stewart) Seavey; his wife, Debra (Brown) Seavey, all of Dennysville; two daughters, Julie Matthews and her husband, Scott, of Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Heather Babcock and her husband, Berry, of Bangor; two stepsons, David Curtis of Old Town, Mark Curtis of Dennysville; three brothers, Gordon Seavey and his wife, Jeanne, of Alexander, Allen Seavey and his wife, Shelly, of Edmunds, Kenneth Seavey and his wife, Orene, of Perry; four sisters, Marilyn Fenderson and her husband, Bobby, of Marion, Sandra Mattheson and her husband, Loring, of Dennysville, Carolyn Seavey and a special friend, Jack Nicholas, Cindy Palmeter and her husband, Troy, of Meddybemps.; three grandchildren, Michael, Riki and Andi. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at the Dennysville Cemetery, with Pastor Gary Kinney officiating.
