EDDINGTON – Richard W. Miller, 76, left this earth peacefully Sunday, April 10, 2005, to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family, following a brief illness. He was born Aug. 4, 1928, son of the late Donald and Alice Miller. Richard spent most of his life in the woods as a self employed woodsman. He was at his happiest when he was outside walking in the woods or looking for four leaf clovers. He is survived and will be forever missed by many family members including his loving wife of 53 years, Beatrice Miller; daughter, April Leigh and her husband, Kevin; daughters, Cindy Bishop, Brenda Sickles and her long time partner, Bruce Boudreau; Richard’s special and caring son, Donald Miller and his wife, Barbie; daughter, Donna Trask; special daughters, April Ames and her husband, Ed, Cindy B and her son, Travis. His memory will be carried on by his 11 grandchildren, Christy Chessa, Patrick Chessa, Richard Roderick, Paul Alley, John King, Andy Sickles, Aaron Sickles, Bambi Miller, Donnie Miller, John Graves and Russell Graves. He will be fondly remembered by his nine great-grandchildren, his siblings and their families, Al and Joyce Miller, Marty and Lucille Miller, Thom Miller; special sister, Donna Trot and her husband, Larry; special nephew and niece, Bob and Floss Kearns. He will also be dearly remembered by his haying partner and long time friend, Jean DeBeck; many other friends; his dog, Chase; cat, Shadow; and horses, Lady and Promise. The family would like to send a sincere and special thank you to Pastor Ron Chaffee and Alice Kennedy. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his sisters, Lorraine, Bunny and Jean. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a Celebration of Life will be conducted 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Ron Chaffee officiating.
