WINN – Richard Weldon Peters, 75, husband of Joline (Moors) Peters, died unexpectedly Jan. 6, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. Born in Orient, April 27, 1928, he was the son of Dwight Peters and Marjorie (Faulkner) Peters Brown. In addition to his wife of 58 years, Joline, of Winn and his mother, Marjorie, of Connecticut, he is survived by six children, Belinda, and her husband, Terry Libby, of Winn, Dwight Peters, and his wife, Sherry, of Winn, Wayne Peters, and his wife, Lynn, of Mattawamkeag, Randy Peters, and his friend, Sue Gantnier, of Winn, Janice and her husband, Robert L. Coburn, of Winn, Bruce Peters, and his wife, Beth, of Mattawamkeag, 14 grandchildren, two step-grand-children and 20 great-grand-children whom he loved very much; two sisters, Vergie and her husband, John Yates, and Mary, and her husband, Merle Jamieson; one brother, Eldon Brown, all of Connecticut. He was predeceased by his father, an infant daughter, Barbara and his faithful, loving dog, Angie. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Carolyn Metzler officiating. Spring interment will be in East Winn Cemetery.
