INDIAN RIVER, JONESPORT- Ricky L. Sabourin, 41, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at his home in Indian River as a result of a housefire. He was born July 15, 1963, in Putnam, Conn., the son of Lucien N. and Carrie L. (Faulkingham) Sabourin. Ricky attended Addison schools. He spent many years working on and around the ocean, digging clams and worms and working on fishing boats. He was a very private person, and enjoyed his work very much. Ricky was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. He loved animals, and owned several beagles over the years. In addition to his mother, Ricky is survived by a sister, Dianne Lovejoy and her husband, Blair, of Hampden; two nephews, Kristopher Peabody of Portland and Joshua Peabody of Hampden; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will also be missed by a special aunt, Charlene Wagner of Addison. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Down East Christian Church, Marshville Road, Harrington, with the Rev. Clive Meidhal, pastor, officiating. Gifts in memory of Ricky may be sent to help defray funeral expenses to Dianne Lovejoy, 48 Emerson Mill Road, Hampden, ME 04444. Cremation arrangements are by Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Milbridge.
