CASWELL – Mrs. Rita E. (Davis) Martin, 40, wife of Rudolph “Rudy” Martin, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, July 22, 2005, at her Caswell residence. She was born Dec. 25, 1964, at Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Harold and Betty (Benn) Davis. Rita was a graduate of the Limestone High School, Class of 1983, attended Husson College and had been employed by Burrelle’s Press Clipping Service of Presque Isle for 12 years. Rita was past president of the Caswell P.T.A. and currently held the position of vice president and generously devoted many hours as a volunteer at the Dawn Barnes Elementary School in Caswell. She was predeceased by her mother and one infant brother, Alan Scott Davis. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Rudolph “Rudy” Martin; her father, Harold Davis and wife, Linda; one son, Matthew R. Martin; one daughter, Mikayla M. Martin, all of Caswell; two brothers, Philip G. Davis and his wife, Laurie, Robert L. Davis, all of Presque Isle; one sister, Janis Christiansen and her husband, Stephen, of New Denmark, N.B.; one stepbrother, Edward B. Good of Limestone; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. with the Rev. Clement Thibodeau officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those who choose contribute in memory of Rita to her children to be used towards their college education, 1384 Van Buren Road, Caswell, ME 04750.
