PRESQUE ISLE – Rita P. Martin, 85, passed away Jan. 22, 2007, at a Caribou health care facility. Rita was born Sept. 3, 1921, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Paul and Victoria (Beaulieu) Martin. Rita graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1941. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rita enjoyed music; it was a big part of her life. Rita worked at and managed the old Music Store on Main Street, Presque Isle. She also worked for the Aroostook Area Agency on Aging in the R.S.V.P. Program for 15 years. A first cousin, Christine (Beaulieu) Gagnon and her husband, Henry; and a second cousin, Paul Gagnon, predeceased her. Rita is survived by other family members, Pat Gagnon and his wife, Rita, of Presque Isle, Connie Gagnon of Presque Isle, Maxine Thompson and her husband, Gary, of Nipono, Calif., Michelle, Brian and Brittany Cronin, Stephanie, John, Connor and Johnny Reeves, Patricia Gagnon, Ginny Cody and Janice, Chris and Andrew Grover. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Raymond Morency officiating.
