GEORGETOWN, Texas – Robert A. Hallowell, 77, passed away, Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, in Austin, Texas. Bob was born Aug. 15, 1928, in Caribou. Bob served in the Navy from 1946-1948, he joined the U.S. Border Patrol in April 1962. He retired OIC in Pittsburgh, Pa. in Aug. 1983. Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of Georgetown, Texas; twin sister, Betty Knight of Fort Myers, Fla.; daughter, Marta Black and husband, David, of Ridgewood, N.J.; sons, R.A. Hallowell Jr. and wife, Annette, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Seth Hallowell and wife, Debbie, of Lovell, Scott Hallowell and wife, Nora, of Austin, Texas and Jeffery and wife, Carol, of Round Rock, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren, Zachery Robert Hallowell, Rikki Hallowell, Samuel and Elspeth Black and Keith and Jack Hallowell. He was predeceased by his father R.W. Hallowell Sr.; mother, Anna Harris Hallowell; brother, R. W. Hallowell Jr.; sisters, Idella Estey, Juanita Berrie and Phyllis Jones. At his request he will be cremated with no services. A family memorial will be held later.
