BLUE HILL – Robert A. Hardy, 69, died March 5, 2004, at Penobscot Nursing Home. Robert was born in Ellsworth, and grew up in Great Pond. He graduated from John Bapst High School in Bangor, and attended the University of Maine. He was in a tragic motorcycle accident in 1953, he suffered many maladies during his lifetime. Robert is survived by a sister, Pauline (Hardy) Tony of Alaska; a brother, John of Florida; a special nephew, Robert C. hardy of Lamoine; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Arrangements in care of Jordan Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. Interment will be in Great Pond in the spring.
