BANGOR – Robert Barry Chapman, died Dec. 20, 2004, at Togus VA Hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1936, to Mina Hansen and George Chapman. He worked for many years in both Augusta and Bangor as a meat cutter and barber. He drove taxi for many years in Bangor. He served in the military during the Korea War in Tulle, Greenland, as a meteorological observer and received a national service defense medal. He was predeceased by his mother, Mina; one sister, Glenda; and his stepfather, Leo Cormier. He is survived by one brother, Neil Chapman of Bangor; aunt, Barbara Stracnen of Texas; aunt, Jacqueline Hansen of New York; a special friend, Katherine Edwards; cousins, Marilyn Staples and Linda Clish.
