GRAND ISLE – Robert Beaulieu, 92, died at a Maine Veteran nursing home in Caribou on July 1, 2004. He was born Dec. 27, 1911, in Grand Isle, son of Prudent and Sophie Beaulieu. He was veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post in Van Buren. He also served on the Grand Isle fire department for many years. He is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie and her husband, Ernest Cote, of New Britain, Conn.; two granddaughters, Tracy Cote of New Britain Conn., and Amy Burby and her husband, Tim; and two great-grandsons, Timothy and Zackary Burby of Bristol, Conn. Also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle and interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours at the Daigle Funeral Home in Madawaska will be Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. till time of services.
