BRISTOL, Conn. – Robert “Bob” J. Doucette, 72, of Bristol, Conn., husband of Louise (LeFe-bvre) Doucette, died Friday June 11, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford, Conn. Bob was born July 16, 1931, in Fort Kent, and was a son of the late Alexander and Blanche (Thibodeau) Doucette. He resided in Bristol, Conn., most of his life and was employed at New Departure-Hyatt Division of General Motors for 40 years before retiring in 1990. He attended St. Francis College in Biddeford, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Ann Church and the American Legion Post, West Hartford, Conn. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by two sons, Robert M. and Paul E. Doucette, both of Bristol, Conn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Robert Paradis of Bristol, Conn.; two brothers, Lionel Doucette of Antigonish, N.S., Canada, and Francis Doucette of Gardensville, Nev.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sr. Lorraine Doucette of Bare St. Paul, P.Q., Canada, and Jacqueline and Bernard Nadeau of Fort Kent; two granddaughters, Michelle and Theresa Paradis; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Sr. Bernardine Doucette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at St. Ann Church, Bristol, Conn. Entombment with military honors will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol, Conn.
