LEWISTON – Robert “Bob” Tozier Jr., 48, of Auburn, formerly of Bene-dicta, died unexpectedly Tues-day, Jan. 8, 2008, at Central Maine Medical Center. Bob was born Jan. 3, 1960, in Bangor, a son of Robert Tozier Sr. and Gloria McAvoy. Bob proudly served his country for 13 years in the U.S. Army as a tank mechanic. He moved back to Maine with his family after an honorable discharge. He held various jobs and most recently was employed with the Lewiston Wal-Mart distribution warehouse. His laugh and humor touched everyone who knew him. He leaves his fiance, Darlene Coffren of Auburn; his mother, Gloria McAvoy and his stepfather, Richard, of Benedicta; three children, Gerad Tozier of Patten, Sheena Kennedy of Swans Island and Cary Tozier of Mount Desert Island; a granddaughter, Lexi Mae Tozier of Mount Desert Island; brothers and sisters, Patricia Longway, Gayle Nason, Carl Tozier, Cheryl Willett, Kevin McAvoy and Kimberly Lane; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by close friends, Andy, Crystal, Mike, Shelia and Rob; and many, many others, and of course his best friend, Puppy Magoo. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Tozier Sr. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at The Fortin Group Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 217 Turner St., Auburn. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, at a time to be announced, at Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
