BUCKSPORT – Robert E. Orcutt, 82, beloved husband and father, died April 5, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 23, 1923, in Rumford, the son of Everett H. and Adelle J. (Hutchins) Orcutt. Robert loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren and looked forward to Sunday family gatherings to hear their stories and tell a few of his own. He graduated from Bucksport High School in 1940 and was a hard worker that ran the family farm in Bucks Mills until he began working at St. Regis Paper Company, Bucksport, in May 1956 and retiring from Champion Paper Company in October 1983. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vina W. (Gross) Orcutt; son, Larry R. and wife, Deborah A. Orcutt; three grandchildren, Jennifer L. (Orcutt) Noonan and husband, Michael, Jason L. Orcutt and wife, Terry and Joseph L. Orcutt and wife, Danielle; three great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Cassidy Noonan and Ella Orcutt; two sisters, Olive Wight and husband, Edward and Joyce Goode and husband, Leonard; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by son, Robert S. “Bobby” Orcutt; brother, Ralph Orcutt. His family would like to offer special thanks for the many visitors, help with wood and groceries, and to his caregiver, Loris Decesare. Per his request services will be private.
