GREENVILLE – Robert J. Auclair “Big Bad Bob,” 56, died Dec. 31, 2007, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born Nov. 15, 1951, in Presque Isle, son of Robert and Mary (Depointe) Auclair. He grew up in Woonsocket, R.I., the oldest of his three brothers and two sisters. He was taught to have a great appreciation for hunting and fishing from his father, who helped him get his first deer when he was 15 years old. An avid sportsman, it was his love of the Maine woods that brought him to Greenville 20 years ago to make it his home. Bob also enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles and rode as often as he could. He will be fondly and affectionately remembered by many of Greenville’s children as a loving caregiver through the daycare he ran with his wife, Debra. He is survived by his wife, Debra. He is also survived by his children, Lauren Stone and her husband, Alex; son, Travis Auclair; and their mother, Lorraine Auclair, who was Bob’s good friend. He is also survived by daughter, Mindy Jones and her husband, Scott, of Bellingham, Mass.; and stepchildren, Kirstin and Durgin McKusick. In addition Bob is survived by his mother and father; sister, Kathie Bourdon and husband, David, of East Douglas, Mass.; sister, Sharon Dupre; brother, Tommy Auclair and wife, Karin; brother, Brian Auclair and wife, Lynn, all of North Smithfield, R.I.; brother, Derek Auclair and wife, Gail, of Montana; grandsons, Jack and Ryan Stone, and Scott and Kyle Jones; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Greenville. Friends and family are invited to visit 12:30 until time of service at the church.
