BANGOR – Robert K. Paschal, 74, died March 27, 2004, at a local hospital, after a brief and courageous battle with leukemia. He was born March 1, 1930, in Bangor, the son of Charles and Ida (Michaud) Paschal. Bob attended John Bapst High School, he was a Korean Era veteran, member of the 101st Air Guard and retired from the Maine Army National Guard in 1990. He enjoyed golfing with his many friends and in recent years, was a very active member of the Hammond Street Senior Center. Bob enjoyed his many hours of art, painting and photography. Bob is survived by one son, James Paschal of Glenburn; and his daughter, Samantha; and stepdaughters, Nicole and Sarah; one daughter, Mrs. Tina Guay and her husband, David, and their children, Courtney and Ashley of Bangor; three brothers, Edmond Paschal of Bangor, Remie Paschal of Harwood, Md., and Thomas Paschal of Charlotte Hall, Md.; a devoted sister, Margaret Paschal of Bangor; special friends, Donnie and Velma Stewart of Stillwater, Dick and Barbara Guay of Bradley, and Ruthie Wallace of Bangor; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Ginny, in 1998. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Greenlawn Memorial Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gregory Dubois, pastor of the Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church, officiating.
