LINNEUS – Robert L. Nason, 62, died July 25, 2008, in Massachusetts. He was born Oct. 1, 1945, in Houlton, the son of Cecil and Evelyn (Carmichael) Nason. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. Bob also held his clergy license and to his sons, he was referred to affectionately as the great debater. In addition to his mother of Linneus, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Anita (Wiley) Nason of Linneus; six children, Martin Nason of New Hampshire, Chuckie Green of Texas, Amanda Nash of Bangor, Lori Lufkin of Rhode Island, Joseph Nason of Massachusetts and Hillary Nason of Linneus; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Viola Byron of Linneus; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Cecil. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Darrell Williams and the Rev. Roger Jewell officiating. Interment will be at Littleton Cemetery.
