MATTAWAMKEAG – Robert M. Donato, 50, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, surrounded by his family at his home. He was born March 1, 1957 in Bronx, N.Y., the son of Frank P. and Nella F. (Urbano) Donato. Robert enjoyed living in Maine, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He especially liked searching for Native American artifacts. In addition to his mother, Robert is survived by his best friend and companion, Debora Standish; two sons, Frank Donato and his wife, Jennifer, of Vermont, and Robbie Donato of Standish; two granddaughters, Taylor and Jillian; two brothers, Mike Donato and his wife, Della, and their sons, Delbert and Peter, of Medway and Tony Donato and his wife, Diane, and their son, Thomas, of Pennsylvania; the mother of his children, Carol Donato of Waterville; very special friends, Julia McLellan, Sheryl Badger, Ed and Chimire Madde and Mary Walsh; a great-nephew, Jordan; and a great-niece, Destiny. He was predeceased by his father; and a brother, Frank P. Donato Jr. Private services will be held for the family.
