GOFFSTOWN, N.H. – Robert Otto Peterson, 86, died July 10, 2007, after a period of declining health. Born in Boston, he was the son of Oscar B. and Helga H. (Johansson) Peterson. He was a graduate of Arlington High School and Wentworth School of Mechanical Drawing. Mr. Peterson had been employed as a supervisor with Summit Packaging Co. An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved to fish and spend time in his garden. He was the owner of Peterson Sporting Lodge located on Sebec Lake for many years and was featured on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post. Bob served as a Boy Scout leader and selectman in Bower Bank. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army Air Corp. Members of his family include his wife, Elizabeth E. Peterson of Goffstown, N.H.; two children, Kathie Zarthar of Bangor and Robert J. Peterson of Hillsboro, N.H.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Friday at French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast St., Goffstown, N.H. Burial with military honors will be held 2 p.m. July 28, at Sebec Corner Cemetery, Sebec.
