MEDWAY – Robert S. Moore, 52, passed away with his family by his side Saturday, April 10, 2004, at a local hospital. He was born April 22, 1951, in Lincoln, the son of Harold D. and Ivy F. (Orchard) Moore Sr. Robert was a 1969 graduate of Schenck High School and upon graduation went to work at Great Northern Paper Co., where he worked for more than 30 years. His working career at Great Northern Paper covered a multitude of jobs and talents. He was a member of the Katahdin Chapter of the Maine Trappers Association. Robert served as a volunteer for the Medway Fire Department for 25 years, part of that time serving as fire chief. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at Molunkus Lake with his sons and brothers. He is survived by his wife, Georgina “Gina” (Oliver) Moore of Medway; two sons, Jason O. Moore of Portland, and Travis B. Moore of Portland; nine siblings, Harold Jr. and wife, Jean Moore, Bruce and wife, Gwen Moore, Dawn and husband, Jack York, Geraldine DeWitt, Ronald and wife, Judy Moore, IdaBelle and husband, Gilles Martin, all of Medway, Barbara and husband, Gordon Hall, of Florida, Pam and husband, Ricky York, of Millinocket, Kenny and wife, Mary Moore, of Molunkus; many nieces and nephews. He was very fond of and will be sadly missed by his cat, Molly. He was predeceased by his parents of Medway; and a son, Stephen Robert Moore. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at the funeral home with Pastor David Chicoine officiating. Burial will be in Grindstone Cemetery.
