BELFAST – Robert S. Nickels, 59, died June 15, 2004, at his home. He was born April 20, 1945, in Sears-port, the son of Albert W. and Pearle (Reynolds) Nickels. Robert served in the U.S. Army for 12 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. Robert is survived by his wife, Sandra L. (Fletcher) Nickels of Belfast; three sons, Gary Nickels of Swanville, Robbie Nickels of Searsmont, and Travis Nickels of Searsport; two grandchildren; two brothers, George Berry and Richard Berry, both of Swanville; two sisters, Cathy Watson of Belmont, and Charlene Cook of Belfast; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Frank Berry. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2004, at the Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main St., Searsport.
