GREENVILLE – Robert W. McGrath Sr., 77, a 30-year resident of Greenville, died Oct. 14, 2007, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Farmington. He was born June 18, 1930, in Boston, son of James F. and Mary Madlyn McGrath. He worked 25 years for Alis Chalmars Co., Semans, in Hyde Park, Mass., as a foreman. He later started his own business as a private investigator, becoming president/ owner of Norward Security, Norwood, Mass., with more than 200 employees. He was well known and respected by many in the field of law enforcement. After semi-retiring, he moved to Greenville. Bob loved animals, and the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and the New England Patriots. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Deborah (Beedy) McGrath; two sons, Robert Mc-Grath Jr. and Richard McGrath; a stepson, Ryan Bell; six grandchildren, Dan and Chad McGrath, and Kattie, Joey, Cody and Nicholas Bell; two great-grandchildren, Venessia and Tylor McGrath; a brother, Warren McGrath; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, James McGrath; and a stepdaughter, Carol Bell. The family thanks C.A. Dean Hospital and Nursing Home, Greenville, for all their years of commitment and caring, and to Edgewood Rehab and Nursing Facility and Franklin Memorial Hospital of Farmington for his final days of care and comfort. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Greenville Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Malo officiating.
